9th January, 2015 A Shabby Chic card in pink, cream and brown

Hi ! and good morning to everyone.  Did you sleep alright last night ?  Wow ! did that wind howl around my house and the rain was beating on the windows. So was awake on and off for a fair bit of the night so I had a lay in. Anyway, now up bright as a button !

Today my card that I would like to show you is a Shabby chic style in lovely cream brown and pink.

It was very easy to do once you had die cut all your different cards stock.
I die cut the brown frames, then the cream background, which I embossed, matted and layered.
I then die cut two fancy doilies and laid them edge to edge, overlaid a Spellbinders label in brown, added a hand made flower, rose leaves in gold, some pretty organza ribbon.

In the center of the ribbon is a pretty jewel that I took to pieces from a bracelet  bought from a department store.  I always keep a look out for these bits and bobs for my stash. Sometimes they sell off, really cheap , broken necklaces etc, .....so keep a look out, as they are never expensive.

I die cut four corners, embossed them in heavy pale pearl pink embossing powder.

The part that took the longest to make was the stick pin , which was done in beads to compliment the colours in the card.

Here's a peek at the card, showing just a little of the inside.

Here is a closer look at the ribbon with it's pretty jewel in the middle.

Hope you like this card.  thank you for stopping by, have a lovely weekend.....Bye for now ! xxx
