Hello everyone in this New year of 2015. I hope that you all had a truly magical Christmas and that this year of 2015 brings happiness and contentment.
Today to start the New Year I have a card to show you, Have a Wonderful Day, done in my Shabby Chic style which I always love to do. The card stock that I have used is from Maja Design, always beautiful quality card. I have distressed the edges just a tad and added some flat backed pearls to the corners.
The ribbon is organza that I tied into a three bows.....by accident. ! I was watching You Tube on how to tie bows using your fingers....looked easy peasy whilst watching it...not so good for me, don't have enough fingers. But somehow this bow came out, so all was not lost. Have now invested in a bow maker to make life easier. ! If you don't have one yet, I can recommend them. Mine is a straight forward wooden block style one with movable dowels and does the job perfectly..
Here's a closer look at the bow with a Doohickey die layered daisy next to it. The jewel in the center of the daisy is hand made. The die cut frame in the center is Memory Box, Tiffany Frame. the die used for Have a Wonderful Day is part of the set from Spellbinders Nestabilities, Timeless Rectangles.
The other flowers are from my stash, added a little white paste to give the Shabby chic look
Here's a peek at the inside of the card.
The die that I used is Spellbinders, Fleurs - de - Lis- squares and again I have distressed the edges. The white that I have uses is from Memory Box, Loom Circle to which I snipped off the pointy edges to give it a different look.
Hope that you like my card, have a wonderful day, thank you for taking a peek at my blog. I hope that my work inspires you, take care, my best wished to all xx
