Today has been another glorious day. I took the grandchildren to the seaside, and was quite pleased that it was cooler and overcast as it is so easy to get their young skin burnt with the sea air.
Today I am listing a Shabby Chic tag style card. I always like to do different types of cards as I easily get bored . I sometimes only have to look at some pretty card stock in my stash and my imagination is fired up.
So....this was some Tim Holtz grey card that I found whilst doing a bit of a tidy up...mmmmm grey ? well pink is always good with grey.
I distressed the edges of the tag and then added a little white paste here and there.
The die that I used for the frame is from Joy Craft which has some pearly pink and white heavy embossing enamel on it to help give it a bit of dimension.
I have always enjoyed making my own flowers, these were made using a Magnolia Doohickey peony die . I die cut several layers of white coffee filter papers, wet them, and added some pink distress ink.
Whilst still wet, I scrunched them up a little, joined several layers together with a brad, then dried with a heat gun. You can see the layers start to separate and curl a little around the edges.
To finish the tag off I scrunched up whilst damp some white seam binding ribbon, misted with a little pink dye, added some pretty white lace ribbon ( which is really meant for knitting with ! ) and tied it to the top of the tag. I really enjoyed making this tag, and hope that you like it too.
Thank you for taking a peek.
