A Cascading Shabby Chic Card

Oh my....What a thunderstorm we had last night, not seen lightning like that for ages, so kept me awake a lot. Fortunately I like storms, especially when it cools the air as we have had it so unusually hot.

My card to show you, beautiful crafting friends, is a cascading card done in my favourite shabby chic style.  The template was bought from Paula of Which Craft in Doncaster. So this template takes all the hard work out, no measuring, it's all done for you.  Easy Peasy....or so I thought, but Paula has done a video to help. I am the kind of person that no matter how good the instructions are ( and they are good ) I prefer to be shown, so thank you Paula, you made it really easy for me to understand.

I used Maja Design papers for the cardstock and the filigree bow is a Sue Wilson Die.

I popped a ditsy rose in the middle. The large flower was made from white coffee filter papers, dyed with a ever so slight spray of pink, scrunched, dried and teased out.
There is a sparkly gem in the middle.
To help with  the Shabby look I  added some ivory dried gypsophila among the die cut leaves.

Here is a ide ways view of the card where you can see the lay out of the cascading style a little clearer.

The Sue Wilson Filigree bow fits just right.

I added pretty guipure lace down one side and pearl lace down the other side. More ditsy roses were used with the gypsophila.  The butterflies were embossed on their wings with vintage pink embossing powder and the flat backed pearls down their middles.

Thank you for taking a peek at my card, must do another one as the template has a small one, as above and a larger one.

Have a wonderful weekend, until next time, take care xx
