25th November 2019 More of my work

Hello, I cannot believe that it is almost a month since I showed you some of my work. I guess like most ladies we are busy getting ready for the festive season and the time just runs away. I have managed to do all my Christmas gift shopping. The next thing is to make an evening spare and get them all wrapped up in one go.

Here is some of my work recently done, always a lovely escape into my craft room , bliss !

The flowers are made from Foamiran. It was not my original intention to make them look like Winter Anemones but as soon as I put the black centres in that's what I thought they looked like.

Now all together different. Distressed background using water colours, stamped, and used the bleaching out technique to repaint the flowers.  Added a few dots with my white Posca pen to make it jump out that bit more.

Again something different. I love making butterflies, the sparkly the better ! Lots of glitter on a pink pearl painted butterfly.

Hope you like some of my latest creations, have a wonderful day , hugs xxx

2nd October, 2019 Super Sparkle Butterflies

Hello, We all love butterflies and to add them to our crafting projects make them so pretty. Every now and then I get the yearning to make some super sparkly ones and they have to be in pink !  Hope you like them.

I die cut two sizes of butterflies on white card, painted them pink and added the black paint to the edges.

I covered each layer with Glossy Accents and white glass glitter, left them to dry and then added to the edges some Stickles as well as the dabs in the centre of the wings.

All were layered together with hot glue then the little pink crystals added along the length of the body.

So super sparkly , just love them  !

The Stickles seem to pick up the black detail underneath and add that touch of colour other than just the pink.

Thank you for taking a peep, enjoy your day, xx

15th September, 2019.

Hi, I got a little tired of the more complicated style of cards so did a few water colouring ones, so here they are and hope you like them ……..

This one I would separate and put into a frame, so enjoyed doing it.

This one was using Brusho's for the back ground and bleaching out the flowers so could be coloured.

I distressed the back ground with water colours then stamped on the image. I saw a tutorial on using ' crayons ' ….not successful I'm afraid as the stamped image smudged as soon as I tried to work on it...I should have thought it through, never mind, as this one is so easy, simple and pretty.

I hope you like my cards, thank for taking a peep, enjoy your day xxxx

22nd August, 2019. A Steam Punk Style card.

Hi, I was looking on Pinterest at all the mixed media work which I do love to dabble with, not very successful I must admit. I saw some Steam Punk stuff....wooooow!   love this , so had to give it a try. I already had a load of metallic pastes and gilding wax, all that was needed was some steam punk style embossing folders. Love Tim Holtz products, he does some great stuff, one ordered, delivered and here is my first Steam Punk style work.

I already had the stamp from forever ago which I though she went pretty well . The cogs border die again had forever and hardly used. I used black card stock, embossed part with a Tim Holtz one and then got to work with my metallic pastes and gilding wax...so loved doing it !

I used at least three different shades to get the result I wanted. I also added a touch of gold on the die cut foliage.

The flowers were made from some left over Tim Holtz card stock, grunged up and a touch of gold and brown on the petals.

Hope you like it.....have a lovely weekend xx

13th August, 2019, A Shabby Chic , Mixed Media Card.

Good evening, Hope that you are all having a lovely Summer break. We are just starting to get the chill in the mornings, that's if you are an early riser.  I have been feeling sorry for myself as I had a fall, not so much the fall but feeling pretty silly as I was not able to get up !  However the sprain came out during the evening..., and it hurt , so meds, cold bandage and will be back to normal within a few days.  Besides I won a fashion shopping voucher and I have got to spend it !

I have not done a proper mixed media style card for ages and thought here goes...so hope you like it.

The cardstock used is from Madja Design, Gesso'd,  stamped on with script stamps, paste stencilled  besides lace and a large hand made flower using different organza material from my stash.  The lady is from my stash and I think it is Pion Design, another one of my favourite companies.

A closer peep at the ' flower ' I cut circles and used my heat gun to melt the fabric, layered and glued and a pretty gem in the centre.

I have done the inside of the card to complement the front.

Thank you for taking a peep at my work, enjoy the evening, bye xx

23rd July, 2019, A Lillte Bit Different Today.

Hello, Good Morning.  I have been playing quite a lot with Foamiran and saw a lovely video from Heartfelt Creations using stamp pads on Foamiran. Never crossed my mind that they could be made that way. So, using my Heartfelt Creations combo's , a Stazon ink pad and a pink Gelato just to colour the middles, this was the result.....soooo pleased. Hope you like the card topper !  A bit of a different shape.

I'll do a closer peep at the flowers so you can see how good the Stazon worked.

Heartfelt Creations used a thicker type of Foamiran and a heat gun....tried it and was a failure my Foamiran went too thick and could not be manipulated, so went back to my trusted method of using an iron.
So pretty aren't they ?  I can see a few more being made in this way. another expense as I only have two colours of the Stazon !

Have a lovely day, take care, Hugs.
