27th June 2019 A Lovely Polkadoodle Mermaid.

Hi, good morning. At las the sun has decided to shine up here in South Yorkshire. Days and days of rain and so cold. Jumpers and cardigans on in June !  Even had to light my fire in the evenings to keep out the chill.  Hopefully we will now be getting our share of the lovely weather.

Today I would like to show you a card topper that I made using a Polkadoodles digi image. I was so tempted to buy some more stamps and resisted as I have far too many, so went for the CD Rom instead. This one that I used was already coloured but you can download and colour yourself.  Bit of a problem for me as for some reason the inks in my printer do not respond well to which ever colouring medium I use.  So here it is.....pretty isn't she ?

The flowers were my new stamp and die set from Heartfelt Creations. I added a few micro beads to the centres of some of the flowers. which  I bought from my local pound store. They are sets of micro beads in little tiny phials, meant for nail art, loads of different colours and you can use the little phials for altered art projects.

I stamped with Stazon Teal Blue then coloured the flower petals with Versa Magic Chalk ink  Turquoise Gem before die cutting and shaping.

I matched up with some smaller flowers.  The seahorse was die cut and heavily embossed with three different powders and given a few AB crystals down his spine.

Thanks for taking a peep, enjoy your day, hugs xx

20th June, 2019 Lovely Sophia,

Hi ! I could not resist buying the lovely Sophia stamp, another one by the talented Tracy Easson. she was stamped and coloured using my favourite, Copics.  I do wish there was a fairly local place where I could be given lessons on using  distress inks.,  Tried many times and failed.  So here is the pretty Sophia.

The flowers are made from Foamiran. I added some white pen dots to her hair. The stamped flowers were not part of this stamp set but from another Tracy Easson one.

The flowers were white Foamiran which are coloured by using Pan Pastels and a wet wipe, just touching both back and front of some of the die cut petals.

Isn't she adorable ?
The feathers were die cut and embossed in a heavy embossing powder, tied together with a bit of rustic twine.

Have a lovely evening, thank you for taking a peep at my work xxx

11th June, 2019 Tahlia again.

Hi, Just had to colour Tahlia in again. This time with bright coloured hair, using Copics again. The card stock used if again from Anna Marie, same pattern but in a different colourway, lovely lilac theme.

I am really liking the turquoise hair, something so very different from what I normally do.
The little white dots are from using a Posca pen, the only pen so far that I have found to do a proper good white dot.

I added a few AB crystals to her hair...well a girl has to sparkle !

The inside done to match the front.

Thank you for looking at my work, have a lovely evening xx

5th June, 2019 Isn't she adorable ?

Hi , must show off this adorable stamped image. Her name is Tahlia and I am just loving her.  I have coloured her using my favourites, Copics.  I have seen her done in water colours and looks amazing, so must give it a try.

I added a stencil to the background card , stunning card by Anna Marie Designs, which I was so lucky to pick up two 12" x 12" pads, different colours at a local craft show last weekend.  Love Anna Marie's work, soooo Shabby Chic ! The rose is hand made using white Foamiran that I inked up with a magenta wax crayon and die cut with Spellbibders circle rose die, using the largest.

Really pleased with the results...so here she is.....

another peep

So itching to do her again......

Thanks for having a look at my work , hugs xxxx

28th May 2019 Lilac again

Hi, good morning.  I am up bright and early again but certainly not down to any sun shining through the bedroom curtains.  Another typical cloudy rainy day again. Such a shame as it is the school holidays and it would have been extra nice to have lovely weather so the children could get out and about.

I seem to be always drawn to lilac and turquoises in my colouring for Foamiran flowers. So again another card topper featuring lilac flowers.

I used Pan Pastels to colour the flowers as I found that the two colours easily blended into each other

A closer peep at the flowers.

I added some white organza ribbon, pretty die cuts and a lovely embossed background.

Thanks for looking at my work, have a lovely day xx

24th May 2019. A Whimsy Fairy Card.

Good morning !  Such a beautiful day today, sun is shining, skies are blue...perfect !  I would like to show you a pretty fairy card using a Whimsy stamp.  I kept seeing these lovely stamps and took forever to track some down and like most crafters, got them and with one thing and another took ages to use them. So here is my card, coloured of course with my favourite Copics.

The large pink flower was in my stash, made ages ago. A simple die cut layered flower, painted pink then covered in glass glitter.
A closer peep at the flower.

I die cut the fancy corners and embossed them in white and whilst still hot added just a touch of blue and did a bit of re-heating to make it set on top of the white.

Here is the inside of the card done to compliment the front and you can see clearer the embossed corners. The butterfly was fussy cut from some card stock from my stash.

Hope you enjoy this card, thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day xx

13th May 2019 Shabby Chic Mr & Mrs. Wedding Topper

Hi, Just returned from an amazing Florida Disney World holiday . Beautiful sunshine, if not a little bit too hot on some days, but guess us Brits are not quite used to it.  Must say that it was lovely to return home, a holiday is lovely but your home is always the best place to be. After catching up on the holiday washing, well almost !  I have had time to do a bit of crafting. Nothing too challenging , quite simple and elegant. I did the colour coffee and cream with Foamiran flowers in a pale peach to match with the cardstock.

I used Tattered Lace Pin Dot squares, the largest, and embossed the other cream cardstock. The Mr & Mrs die is from ( I think ! ) Crafters Companion, I threw away the packaging !

The lace applique leaves are from my stash as are the large pearl stamens.

Just loving those lace leaves !

I used off white Foamiran and coloured the edges of the petals with oil pastels.

Thanks for taking a peep, take care, xx
