28th March, An Elegant Card

Hi good morning, the sun is shining and it is a beautiful day here in South Yorkshire, UK. Lets hope that this cold snap we have been having is finally on it's way and Summer is just around the corner.

I have a pretty elegant card to show you that was done with some Foamiran flowers in a pretty shade of lilac with cream and pale turquoise card. The die used for this card is a Tattered Lace large die set.

I added some dried gypsophilia to the flowers.

I did the inside of the card to compliment the front.

A closer peep at the flowers.

Thank you for having a look at my work and hope that it gives you some inspiration.
Have a lovely day, xx

17th March 2019 Colouring Foamiran Flowers.

Hi, well it has been a fair time since I last posted anything due to family commitments , other stuff and having a terrible cold. I have been playing with colouring Foamiran. I have all types of colouring stuff in my stash, from distress inks to Gelato's... you name it, I have got it.  I have been doing up my craft room, new shelves and found my Pan Pastels. Never used them for colouring but was really, I mean really pleased with the results.

The Foamiran used was the type you heat with your iron. The Foamiran was white, my favourite as you can colour them to any shade to match your work.I used a turquoise with lemon on one set and lilac with pink on the other set, using the twisting method and them shaping the flowers. I found that the two colours blended in together. Looks pretty.

I only have a few different colours in the Pan pastels, so had to purchase more pastels but went down the line of a boxed set of soft pastels, 48 different colours, loving them.
Thank you for having a peep, enjoy your weekend, hugs xx

26th February 2019 , A LOTV Ballerina.

Good morning, today I have a pretty ballerina to show you. She was a digital down load from LOTV, as I have said before not so keen on these as the printer inks are not always compatible with using alcohol pens to colour with.  This time it seems to have worked out alright.

Isn't the lace pretty ?   The flower is made from silk Foamiran. I was told it was better to shape as you do not need to use a hot iron. So here is one with using the silk type, and yes they are right.
I do have lots of the ordinary Foamiran in my stash and of course it will get used.

The bow is a die from Doohickey's , called bridal bow. The peeping out doily is a die purchased from Poland. I saw it used on a few cards and researched who had one and it turned out I could only buy it from a company in Poland.....had to have it !

Thanks for taking a peep at my work, have a lovely day, hugs xx

2nd February, 2019 Lilac and Daisies.

Hi,  good morning.  Woken up again to a snow, so pretty to look at. I will not be going very far today, keeping snug and warm indoors and will perhaps enjoy reading a good book later on whilst curled up on my sofa with a lovely log fire burning in the hearth.

I have done something a little bit different from my usual work.  This card topper is just that bit less fussy. I have had the daisy die for ages and hardly used them and I am quite pleased at how they turned out.  The white frame is from Spellbinders, a lovely set of layering dies. Hope you like it.

Enjoy your weekend, Take care xxx

27th January 2019, a onochrome Wedding Card Topper.

Hi good morning.  I am up bright and early, well not so bright as the rain pounding on my bedroom window kept waking me up. But we need the rain to fill up our reservoirs which have still not been replenished after the wonderful hot Summer last year.

Today I have a pretty circular wedding card topper to show you. the lovely bride is a down load from a CD purchased many years ago , work done by a lady called Christine Haworth.  The peony flowers are a Doohickey die. I did them in white and added just a touch of grey to the outer petals so they would tie in with the pretty picture.

I popped large and small flat back pearls into the centre of each flower,

Have a lovely day,  xx

12th Janaury, 2019 A Little Bit of Cheating.

Hi , today I have a card topper to show you using an already printed image from the Hobby House. Love these printed images as they are so pretty and ready to go.  Most annoying though when cards & toppers that are often listed for sale and they state that they are hand made, but...…. do not say that they are using these pre-printed images. Naughty  !   All my work states what I use and more often a stamped image and coloured with Copics.  If using a pre-purchased one, I say so.

The flowers are all hand made with Foamiran except for the little white bunched stamens.

I do struggle a tad making these flowers with Foamiran, but getting better ! ( hopefully )

Thank you for stopping by, have a super weekend, xxx

6th January 2019 Another filigree Hinged Card.

Good morning and a very Happy New Year to all in 2019.  I have done another hinged filigree card using my Spellbinder dies. I just have to think of another way to use the Emmeline die. Probably die cut , then cut out......so watch this space.

Here is my filigree hinged card with hand made roses.

The roses were made with the Spellbinder circular rose die using the three different sizes.

I added the pretty dried gypsophilia to add to the Shabby chic style.

A closer peep of the roses.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope that you like my work, take care xx
