19th May 2018 A few ' Less is More ' style cards.

Hi, Today was the BIG day for our Prince Harry and his beautiful fiancée Megan, and what a beautiful day it has been. She looked radiant , her dress was pure class, and we did it in style like us Brits always do.

Me....?  Yes I have done something in style, broken my foot, simply fell off a kerb. so I have on a lovely black ' boot ' to keep my foot snug. Really stylish, I think not  ! Standing for any length of time is a bit uncomfortable so I have been doing cards that are slightly more simplified...' Less is More '  I have really enjoyed making them.  Here is some of my latest work......

This is a set of two Memory Box dies, Floating Butterflies, guess I can do a lot with these. This one was a straight forward die cut of each one, layered on top of each other, a misting of pink and a few gems.

Seems like I am into butterflies.  Double layered butterfly on a dotty embossed background.Added some white flat back pearls. Love the lovely white linen card that I am using at the moment.

Not a butterfly this time but a pretty bird cut from some Lemoncraft papers with an added Tim Holtz die cut wildflower spritzed with a touch of blue to pick up the blue of the bird.

Hope you enjoyed my cards and thank you so much for having a look at them. Enjoy the rest of the
                                                               weekend  xx

Hi, Here I am again to show you another card that I made for a friend. I Googled how to make a blogger photo bigger, why did I not think of that before ?  !!!!  So easy when you know how !

This one is for a Silver Wedding Anniversary. So loved doing it as I was given free reign to do as I wanted.

                                                                 It's big  !!

The flowers were made from Foamiran and the beautiful backing card  is from Lemoncraft

I am so pleased with myself, why I never thought of using google before..duhhh !

Just need to learn how to set things out next...no stopping me now, take care, hugs xx

Hi everyone. I have been searching through my collection of stamps, I have so many, and so many forgotten about and I came across three very pretty Nellie Snellen stamps. So here is my latest bit of work, hope you like them.  Copics were used to colour them.

This one is a Whimsy Stamp.

They are all my favourite ones at the moment. Just love adding lots of glitter to the fairy wings.

Hope that you are all enjoying this wonderful weather we are having at the moment.  Thank you for taking a peep at my work and hope that you are all having a lovely evening.  Hugs xx

April 2018 So in Love with Lavinia Stamps.

Hi !  Well April is almost over. We had, just for a few days some beautiful weather. I planned on taking a break just for three days, then the rain came......stayed at home and did some craft work instead.  I recently discovered a company called Lavinia Stamps. they have some beautiful stamps and could not resist buying a few. Here is some of my work...' Less is More ' style.

This stamp is from their Mystical Houses range. I used Copics to colour.

Another mystical house, but a larger stamp. I added a few Stickles  in pearl colours to add that little bit of a highlight.

Thanks for taking a peep, have a lovely weekend xx

12th April, 2018 A Pretty Easel Card.

Hello, more rain....we were supposed to be going away for a few days but have had to cancel due to the bad weather. Most of the flood locks are closed on the canal navigation so we would have got about 5 miles and had to return home, not much fun in that....so did lots of lovely crafting instead !

I would like to show you a pretty easel card that I have recently completed for a friend, so enjoyed making it.

I added a pretty matching gift tag that slides between the easel.  All the roses were hand made using a Tim Holtz die. the card stock I used was from Lemon Craft. Love their card, trouble is I never seem to want to cut into it.  Now another photo of the easel card.

I wish I was clever enough to be able to do bigger photo's for you, hope you can still see it and enjoy taking a peep at my work. Thank you and take care, hugs xxx

1st April, 2018 A Pearl Wedding Card.

Hello , I hope that you are all having a wonderful Easter Day. I would like to show you a pretty commission card that I did for a lovely lady that lives in Wales, it was for a Pearl  Wedding anniversary. I really enjoyed making it.

I had some very pretty white pearl embossed paper in my stash, knew it would come in handy at some point. I tore the edges and added white lace to give the romantic shabby chic look

I used an organza flower , little white roses and some spotty organza ribbon and of course lots of other bits and bobs to finish off the card. I decorated the inside of the card to match the front.

Hope you like it, have a wonderful day, thank you for taking a peep xx

12th March. Lovely Shabby Chic and lace.

Hi, After a long time making flowers using Foamiran, I reverted back to paper. I forgot how pretty they can be. These have just a touch of white paste on them to add to that Shabby Chic look.

The large fabric flower was hand made by using circles of organza material, heated with my heat gun until it crinkled up. I roughly cut out rounds, bigger and smaller, then layered together.

The lace was bought from a millinery supplier on eBay.

For this card topper I used stunning Pion Design  set against a lovely die cut doily square by Tattered Lace.  I had some white seam binding ribbon which I wanted to dye in a pale green, somehow it turned out a lemon shade, but I think it matches pretty well.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my work, have a lovely day, take care, xxx
