28th March 2020 , Using Dur a Lar acrylic sheets

Hello , I hope that all us crafting folk are keeping busy, learning new skills and trying our best to keep content with our lot.  Terrible times for each of us. we would never have thought that the world would come to this. If we each do as directed we will get through this...

I bought and had delivered before all of this terrible virus , some Dur a Lar acrylic sheets. I had seen them being used and thought it was pretty much up my street to play with. This is my first attempt using acrylic paints.

The strange thing about this 'plastic ' sheet is that you can also water colour on it, stamp and heat emboss, which is what I did with the flower.

I placed it onto white card and used sticky tape strips behind.

I used quite a few Posca pens for the other detailed colouring in.

Thank you for having a look at my work. Please all keep safe and well.

Hugs and much love to all xx

18th March, 2020 A Mo Manning Purchased Image

Hello, today I would like to show you some work done using a Mo Manning purchased image from The Hobby House.  I do have quite a few Mo Manning stamps which I love to use but this was purchased long time ago so decided to use it...such a cutie.

The flowers were made using Foamiran, , my preference being white so that I can colour the foam to my own choosing.

I added some dried gypsophilia among the flowers.

Hope you like it.  Under the circumstances, please keep safe and well xx

12th March 2020. A Steam Punk Journal.

Good evening.  I mentioned earlier that I had done another hand made journal, which has just been completed. I did this one in a Steam Punk style.  I must give the credit to ' Such A Pretty Mess ' for this one as I have copied from her tutorial how to make the large gem in the middle. She herself does admit that she got the method and  idea from somebody else, so don't feel so bad !

Loved making it, something really different . Most of the stuff I had in my craft boxes plus some of that air drying clay to make some of the embellishments which were covered in gold and bronze gilding polish.

Hope you like it....just got to fill it now....

11th march 2020. Time for some Shabby Chic again

Hi, I have been busy making journals, one which I have put on my blog, the other not quite finished, but have loved making them. Always like to try different  things. Miss my card crafting so I have some of my latest work to show you...here goes....

The image is from my stash, Pion Design, had for ages and recently found.
The large flowers are made from fabric petals, layered and glued , stamens added.

I wanted a gold, but not gold colour for the leaves, more bronze, so I used different sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang to get the colour I wanted to go with the different pinks.

A closer peep at the flowers and foliage.

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day xx
