28th February, 2020. hand made Shabby Chic Journal.

Good afternoon. This is my first attempt at making a Shabby Chic journal. Seen lots done but was never quite sure how to start. Brilliant this YouTube thing !  I decided, just in case I made a mess, not to use anything expensive. The book I took apart was a very old one, dropping to bits anyway, and for the pages I used a inexpensive slightly thick sketch book from the Book Store, £2 for 30 pages, A4 size.  Here it is....

Everything that I used was from my stash. I wish I had used a slightly thicker cotton string to put the papers in and lined the inside with a pink material, so not showing you the inside !

Almost got carried away and wanted to decorate the back with flowers and remembered it need to lay flat whilst in use.

Just need to fill it now......

Hope you like my first attempt. Just watched an amazing tutorial from ' Such a Pretty Mess ' it was for a Steam Punk box, can see another journal coming on !

Bye for now, take care and have a lovely weekend xx

20th February, 2020, Back to Shabby Chic.

Good evening, thank you for stopping by to have a look at my work, always appreciated.  I have done some Shabby Chic work, using a lovely image from Pion Design paper.

The blue die cut background is from Tattered Lace and the flowers were made
using the peony die, from Magnolia Doohickey, had for years.

I added lots of dried ivory gypsopholia

lots and lots of die cut coloured foliage.

Hope you like it, take care xxx

16th February, 2020, Pion Design

Hi , I have been searching through all my lovely papers and card stock and came across some Pion Design stuff tucked behind in a drawer....just had to use it.  So here is my pretty shabby chic style card topper using their papers.  Did greens not a usual colour for me but I think it worked well with the touches of pink.

I hand dyed the seam binding ribbon to get the right pale green that I wanted.

Loving the die cut flower spray bought a while ago and hardly used, can see lots of things to use it for.

Thank for taking a peep, hugs xxx
