23rd December, 2016 A Sarah Kay Card.

Good afternoon, I have a pretty Sarah Kay card to show you today that was coloured in with distress inks, not my favourite but hopefully getting better.

The seam binding ribbon I dyed myself to try to get as near as possible to the large flower, in colour. The large flower was my very first attempt at using Foamiran.  For those who have not used it, it is pretty much in vogue at the moment.  I watched numerous YouTube videos and they were very helpful. However, tricky stuff to use as well as quite expensive, so may I suggest to tread carefully when using it so as not to waste any.  The little roses were from my stash and the colours tied in well with the colours on the Sarah Kay stamped image.

A closer peep at my first Foamiran flower.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas xx

15th December, 2016 A Birthday card for my daughter.

Hello , today I have a pretty birthday card to show you that I have made for my daughters birthday. She is a proper girly girl so thought this LOTV stamp would be most appropriate. I used Copics to colour this time. I added lots of pretty things, very pink seam binding ribbon, lovely flowers and lace.

The cardstock that I used was a real find.  My local pound shop was stocking lots of lovely packs of craft paper, all really good quality, so guess who grabbed as much as I could !

The lovely flower die is another new one ( !) oh dear cannot resist !  It is from Joy Craft and I love it.  I added  a few pink roses across the flowers with dried ivory gypsophila .  Love the butterfly. I added lots of glitter to it's wings and some glass glitter to add that extra sparkle.

Hope you enjoy looking at my latest creation. As mentioned before I am not aligned to any craft company, these are all my own thoughts and love that go into each card. Take care, and thank you for taking a peep.

5th December, 2016. Almost White on White LOTV Card Topper.

Hello, we are well into December and hopefully organised for Christmas. I have done most of my shopping, wrapped and ready to go under the tree.  Just the food to order, as everyone all coming to me this year, so will have a lovely house full of family, especially the little ones.

Today I would like to show you a LOTV almost white on white Christmas card topper that I have done, using a LOTV purchased image.  These are so pretty, and if like me, I have far too may LOTV rubber stamps, many not used, so it helps to keep the cost down and I can indulge in more !

The background card stock was a lovely new addition to my dies, by Marianne, Anja Frames, love it. I added some snowflakes, a hand made white flower and a filigree bow.  Not a great deal needed for this one, but I find it very pretty, hope you do also.

A peep at the white flower, of course, some glitter added to the petals.

Thank you for stopping by, happy crafting, xx

27th November, 2016 Pretty Gift Tags.

Hello crafters, today I have some pretty gift tags to show you, so pretty for that special person and that special occasion.

I used a Marianne die for the tags, double layered them for strength so that the back was plain  white to write on.  I used Lemoncraft card stock for the front of the tag
The edges of the tags were given just a very slight touch of pink.  I used three pale pink roses on each tag, pretty die cut leaves and some dried gypsophila  to give the tags at lovely Shabby Chic touch.

I put some white distressed seam binding ribbon on the tag.

Thank you for taking a look at my pretty tags, take care xx

20th November, 2016, Shabby Chic Butterlies

Hi, good afternoon,  today I would like to show you some butterflies that I have been making.  Everyone loves butterflies, and they always look so lovely on cards and handmade projects.  These ones I have gone a little bit over from what I normally make, but just love how they have turned out.

I always have lots of lace and pretty material in my stash box, so whilst sorting through it all and folding it up neatly I came across some really pretty stuff that I had forgotten about.  So my mind went into overdrive and this is what I came up with,  so very pretty.  I used a Tim Holtz die and did lots of different layers of my organza materials  and lace.  added the pink rose and diamantes for the bodies.

                                                                           A closer peep
Thank you for having a look at my crafty work, have a lovely afternoon xx

17th November, 2016 A Magnolia Tilda Easel Card.

Good evening fellow crafters, sorry for not posting a card for so long, but this time of year is so hectic for us busy mums.  Today I bought my last Christmas gift, so just wrapping to do, feel a little calmer now that part is done.

Today I have a pretty Magnolia Tilda easel card to show you.  I have not done an easel card for such a long time, and enjoyed doing it.

The cardstock used was purchased from Lemoncraft, beautiful card and paper, almost never want to cut into it, but in the end it will stay in my stash forever, so......
The pretty flowers are a Magnolia Doohickey die, peonies, love this die and of course the pretty little bow is again a Doohickey die.

The honey comb die is from La La Land dies, brilliant as they cut like butter, love their stuff.

I added some scrunched seam binding ribbon in pink and pale blue.
Hope you like my card, thank you for taking a peep, take care xx

7th November, 2016. Turquoise and a Shabby Chic Card Topper.

Hi everyone, yesterday I received a new flower die in the post and have been itching to use it. It's a nasturtium flower die, there are three sizes, six dies.  So I die cut and layered them and got out my embossing powders which have taken a back seat and not been used for some time. Truly enjoyed using them. I embossed them in white and turquoise with a touch of gold and popped a pretty sparkly gem in the middle of each flower.

I kind of got carried away with the embossing and did the rose leaves as well.

A closer peep at the flowers

I used a stencil for the gold and turquoise pearl paint on the card, beautiful
paints called Starlights. there is a wonderful selection of colours, and you are
able to mix and blend.  So, thank you for taking a peep, take care  xx

30th October 2016, A Lili of the Valley card topper

Hi !  Where has October gone ?  Last day tomorrow.  I have my stack of sweeties in ready for the children, if they don't take it all I can eat the rest !

Today I have a pretty card topper to show you from Lili of the Valley stamps.  I used for the very first time water soluble crayons/pastels for the colouring and was really pleased with the results. So some more are on my Christmas wish list.

Once again I made the flowers from mulberry paper, pale blue and pink with a little rose popped in the middle. The lovely round die is a new one to my never ending collection from Joy Craft dies, love it, and will use it a lot.  Here's a closer peep at my flowers.

The die behind the flowers was a freebie on a Tattered Lace magazine, isn't it pretty !

So that's me for today, dinner cooking, family want feeding, bye for now and take care xx

17th October, 2016, A Christmas Card using a laser Cut Card.

Hi everyone, today is a bit of a cheat card. I had some lovely laser cut unused invitations in my stash from forever a go, so every now and then I come across them and an re-inspired to make a card. It's such a shame not to use them as they are so pretty, and the longer I keep them the more they could get damaged, so here is my Christmas card, using an image from Maja Design.

The card stock is also Maja Design, love the tartan pattern.  I made a poinsettia flower from a filigree Spellbinder die and popped a large flat pearl in the middle. A few gold holly leaves, done  !

Here's the card closed up showing off the beautiful laser cut folds, just love it, must make some more .  Thank you for taking a peep, hope my cards inspire you, have a lovely day, hugs xx

9th October, 2016. My Grand daughters birthday card.

Hello lovely crafters, I hope that you are all safe and well. Here in the UK we are getting all the reports regarding Hurricane Matthew in the States. Although we do get adverse weather from time to time, nothing like this terrible hurricane.

Today I would like to show you a card that I made for my lovely grand daughter, using Pion Design papers.

They are such beautiful papers and love to use them.  The white rose lace was a recent purchase from China, so inexpensive and great delivery.  I added two  double layer butterflies , pretty pink roses a touch more lace and to be honest besides the doily die, I thought it was enough.

Hope you like the card, thank you for taking a peep, love and hugs to all xx

1st October 2016. A Buttterfly Easel Card.

Hi, good afternoon !  I hope that you are all having a lovely weekend.  Today I would like to show you a butterfly easel card that I have made.  I had a chipboard butterfly in my stash, meant to make something with it and it got pushed to the back of everything !  So it has come in useful as I have used it to draw around as a template !   So I made an easel card !  Once in white cardstock and they drew around it again in pretty Lemoncraft cardstock.

I die cut a further butterfly and cut out a smaller butterfly and layered them, a few flat backed pearls down the middle.  I made the mulberry pale turquoise flowers, but added some pretty pink bought roses.  A touch of dried gypsophila to give it the soft Shabby chic treatment.

A sideways peep at the card, Pretty pleased at how it has turned out....thanks for stopping by xx

24th September, 2016 Teddy with Robin

Hi everybody, today I would like to show you a pretty card topper that I have made using the LOTV pre printed images. I think they are really good to use, when if like me, you have far too many LOTV stamps ( some not even used  ! )  and you feel that it would be a sin to purchase more, so instead so as not to feel too guilty I bought the pre-printed art pads etc.,

I used Snow-Tex around the card, and some so very pretty lace that I have had it in my stash for ages, if only I could find where I bought it from.  Must do some research as it is so pretty with the strip of sparkly diamante across the middle.

The flower was hand made using mulberry paper, spritzed with a touch of blue and a silver centre.

A closer peep at the lace, Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely weekend , hugs  xx

19th September, 2016, Sarah Kay Card.

Good afternoon to all the lovely crafting people, hope that you are having a good day.  Rain here in the UK, Autumn is definitely on the way.  Chilly mornings and evenings. Everything has it's good points, as there is nothing nicer than doing lovely craft work in a cosy home.

Today I have a pretty Sarah Kay card to show you, always stands the test of time as the stamps are so versatile.

I used my Copics for colouring.  .  The little pink bow is a Doohickey die and the butterfly border is by Tim Holtz.  The pink doily that can be seen peeping out behind the picture was a freebie in the Tattered Lace magazine. Has been used such a lot.

Thank you for stopping by, take care, hugs to all  xx

11th September, 2016 An almost forgotton birthday.

Hi everyone,  Today I have a straight forward , less is more, birthday card to show you.  You know the days when you suddenly realise that somebody's birthday is in a couple of days time, and you have to make one pretty fast, well this is one  !

The white card was a pre-bought pack with envelopes, so I embossed another white rectangle card, layered it on top of some pretty pale lemon paper, die cut flowers and a pretty very pale lemon organza bow.  The hearts were a Memory Box die, I coloured then in lemon and covered in Glossy Accents.  The happy Birthday was die cut in gold, a Spellbinders die, two in a pack ( the other one is With Love )   I added the string pearls to just to give it  a bit of extra to finish off the edges.

A closer peep at the little flowers and the heart.

Thank you for taking a peep at my blog, have a lovely Sunday, xx

7th September, Glitter Crystal Butterflies.

Hello dear crafters.  I said I would have a go at making my own crystal glitter in different colours and how I did it was very successful.  I found a little pot, put in my clear German glass glitter and used the tiniest bit of colouring. I used Tim Holtz distress re-inkers, but I think almost anything with a great pigment would work.  Hmmmm  !  food colouring ?  perhaps, worth a try.

Here are my pink and blue butterflies, which I think are really pretty, you cannot see how much they sparkle from my photograph, but believe me they certainly do.

Here's a picture of the pink one.

I hope you like them, thank you for taking a look, take care xx

3rd September, 2016, I'm into Sparkly Butterflies !

Hello everyone, I am so into super sparkly butterflies.  This is what I came up with. It kind of went from thinking sparkly to getting carried away.  Out came my box of crystal tiny beads , my glass glitters and Stickles.

I was getting a bit stuck on the glass glitter as only had three different lots, gold, silver and clear, which is fine for now.  I have something going off in my head to reproduce different colours without the expense of buying, so will keep you up to date if I discover how to do it.

This is the brown/tan one, my favourite.

Hope you like them, have a good weekend  xx

29th August, 2016 Gift Tags, Shabby Chic , of course !

Hi everyone,  Today I would like to show you some gift tags that I have been making.  It is the very first lot that I have done some .  I wanted something just that little bit different, for that extra special present for that extra special person., so I hope that you like them.....

I die cut the tag out and then used my Lemoncraft cardstock left overs to add to the centre of the tags, great use for the bits so they are not wasted.  I cut out the butterflies, layered and popped a pretty little rose in the middle of each one.

Here's a closer peep at one of the tags.

The die for the ' With Love ' comes in a set of two, the with love and the other a birthday, they are from Spellbinders.
I added some ivory lace and pearl across the bottom, Shabbylicious  !
Would love to receive a pressie with this kind of tag on it.

So until next time, hope you are all having a lovely BankHoliday xx

25th August, 2016, A Pretty Fan Card.

Hello Good morning,  I am up bright and early today, it is going to be a beautiful day. Today I would like to show you a pretty card that I made .  I have had this die for some time, an Anja Die. I have used it a few times and am always pleased with the results, as it is something different. Hope you like it also.

The white silk tassels must have been bought when I first bought the die, so it was nice to find them in my stash box. I had some little white roses, so I gave them the pink treatment, just a touch.

The lace leaves are one of my favourite dies, a Marianne Die, and the little green leaves  is a Martha Stewart Punch.  Wishing you all a lovely Bank Holliday weekend, take care, hugs, xx

22nd August, 2016. A Pretty Heart.

Hi everyone, good evening  !  I am having a lovely peaceful evening, doing exactly what I want to do.  Wonderful !  Does not happen very often,  so I am taking the opportunity to do just that !  I have a lovely heart topper to show you that I did make a week or so ago, so I hope that you like it also.

I hand made the flower and dyed it so as to give it the Shabby Chic look, the gold die that I have used for the flourishes is from Memory Box, Madera Corners.  I use this die quite a lot.

Here's a closer peep at the flower.

I crinkled up the organza ribbon by using my heat gun whilst it was tied up in a bow, not too near and not too long, otherwise you will have sizzled ribbon !  Easy to do and quite effective.  And as always my touch of ivory dried gypsophila  (  have I spelt it right ) to give it lovely feminine touch.
Thank you for stopping by, always appreciated, take care, hugs  xx

18th August, 2016, A Vintage Style Card.

Hi ! Good evening everyone, thank you for stopping by to take a peek at my cards. Today I have a pretty vintage, shabby chic card to show you, using Pion Design goodies.

There's a lot going on for this card, think I got kind of carried away.  I made the pink fabric flower, a few different layers, dyed pink canvas and dyed organza, using the heat gun method to crinkle and dissolve the organza circle.  Find this way much easier that trying to use a candle  !  Works really well if you have a hot heat gun, a metal something or other to hold it down ( a spoon will do )  watch out though ! the spoon can get quite hot  !  The ivory lace guipure flower with the  bits trailing was purchased from China.  They always do great lace etc.,find a good supplier and you can't go wrong....so much cheaper as well.

I cut out a few little butterflies to add to the card and popped a little diamante in the middle of each one.  The lovely border is a gorgeous die cut by ( I think ) Heartfelt Creations, I know it is called Magnolia Border. I have that many dies it is impossible to keep them in their respected packaging , instead they are in boxes, labelled....leaves....flowers....borders....frames, and on and on...my husband says I have a serious problem, guess he could be right for once !

So , again, must dash, too much to do, too little time, thank you for taking a peep, take care xx

11th August, 2016 , Saturated Canary Card

Hi, good morning,  I am up bright and early today, hubby is fast asleep. I really enjoy this time of day to myself, it is amazing what things can get done.  Today I have a Saturated Canary card to show you.  It is ages since I did one. It was a digital download, on my old computer and I don't have a clue where it has gone, that's why I don't care much for digi images, much prefer a good old stamp !  Fortunately I did a few of this one so at least I can still reincarnate her.

Again, coloured with Copics, I made the flower using a Spellbinders die, scrunched whilst damp and the edges given a touch of blue.  Small rolled roses with a pearl bead popped in the middle.  There are a lot of dies used on this card. A Honeycomb die, Lovely View die Butterfly border and a new purchase Butterfly banner.  I kept the colours very pastel for this card.

You can just see in the right hand corner the new three butterflies on a banner, love it.

Thank you for taking a peep at my cards, always appreciated, enjoy your day xxx

Hello lovely crafters, I hope that you have all had an amazing weekend.  I have just returned from a week away and had a very restful time. Today I have another Magnolia Tilda card to show you that has been done in pinks using the lovely Maja Design card.

The large flower has been hand made and distressed with white Gesso as have the leaves and the butterfly. The lace ribbon has been scrunched up whilst damp and rubbed into a diluted Tim Holtz distress ink, Pickled Raspberry.  I have used Copics to colour Tilda.

A closer peep at the flower.

Thank you for stopping by, take care, xx

30th July, 2016, A Shabby Chic Card using Pion Design papers

Hi everyone,  What a beautiful day !  I have been so very busy as it has been one of my grand daughters birthday, she has reached the age of 4 and is delightful.  She had a pony party, besides lots of things, they got to paint a real pony.  As you can imagine the pony was covered with lovely hand prints with sparkles.

Today I have a pretty Shabby Chic card to show you made using Pion papers, always a favourite, and as said before I am so lucky to live near a great craft shop that sells these delightful papers and card stock.

I hand made the canvas/burlap flowers, dyed it with Tim Holtz distress inks and layered it up with a bit of lace and a little bit of cheese cloth.  The centre is mulberry paper, dyed green and a pearl bead popped in the middle.  I love the large doily from Cheery Lyn , die cut just one, and cut it up to slide behind the cardstock.

Here's a closer peep at the flower. Thank you for taking a peep  xxx

26th July 2016, Lovely Butterfly Topper.

Hello everyone, today I have a pretty butterfly card topper to show you.  The butterfly die is an old one from Cheery Lynn, I must admit that it has not been used very much as I thought it too large, however, am quite pleased with how this topper has turned out.

I actually embossed the butterfly, something I have not done for some time, I used a pretty pink embossing powder and added after a touch of iridescent powder on top, has given it a lovely shine.

The little roses were given a touch of pink spray and die cut leaves added.  Have put some real bling on the butterfly !  The card that I have used is from Maja Design.

A closer peep at the butterfly.  Thank you for stopping by, must dash as am being taken out for afternoon tea and must make myself presentable.  have a lovely afternoon, I know I will  !!

A White on White Christmas Card Topper.

Hello everyone, hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather, it has been a long time coming !

I have a White on White Christmas card topper to show you today, yes I know  ! Christmas ! but all us crafters are always well in front. I have been quite surprised at how many I have seen for sale.

I used a lovely large layered lattice die for the background, by Tonic studios, the flowers are a Spellbinder die, poinsettia die.  The largest centre flower was given the bling treatment and covered in Twinkles glass glitter, so very sparkly, love it !  and a little white rose popped in the middle.
I guess it could be used for Christmas or a Winter Wedding.

Here's a closer peep at the large centre flower, the sparkle does not show up as I would like it to.

Hope you enjoy today's card, thank you for stopping by, enjoy your day and take care xxx

17th July, 2016 I've been making roses !

Hello everyone, what a beautiful day, probably the best that we have had this year, all day sunshine !

So, today I would like to show you some pretty cabbage style roses that I have been making. I have used a Tim Holtz alteration flower die, the one that cuts multiple layers, love it ! And this is the result.

Aren't they pretty !  I started by making them in pink using different distress inks so that there would be a variation in the colours. I have lots of uses for them. I have a pretty box that is crying out to be decorated.

Thank you for stopping by , have a wonderful day, take care  xxx

I must be in my Tilda zone at the moment, as I have done another Magnolia Tilda card, only this time  she has been coloured using Copics, always my favourite.

I hand made the large flower and popped a ivory pearl bead in the middle

All the dies used are Doo Hickey dies, except for the lacey little leaves.

Thank you for taking a peep, take care xx
