A White Butterfly Card.

Ah Well, all set to go out for the day, and it has rained !!  Not much fun doing canal locks in the rain, so will give it a miss and perhaps go later in the week.

So decided to show you this pretty butterfly card, that was lovely to do and I think very elegant and can be used for so may occasions.

Firstly I embossed the background card with a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder.  ( ES -016), a pretty rose design, always useful. I always give the cardstock a very light spritz of water before embossing as it gives a deeper finish.

I matted and layered onto white card, die cut a pretty doily shape for the middle and added the three butterflies, glittered of course !!  I finished off putting white flat backed pearls down the middle of the butterflies.

A Pretty Rose Fan Card.

Still having trouble with the well known computer company over my new computer, bought last December, so please forgive the lay out of my blog as using one with old software and unable to load all the pretties etc.,  Every time I use it, my new one that is, screen turns a lovely shade of pink....well I like pink, but not that much.  My Bank took up my case, they had 60 days to reply and would loose the case by default if they didn't ......guess what...they replied on the 58th day  !  So on it goes.........
Pretty bad when you consider I also purchases virus protection, words office and never used it !

So as soon as things get sorted out I will get in the lovely young lady from Twinkle Tec to do wonderful  things to by blog !

So here is a pretty fan card that I have made.  I have had this die from Marianne for quite some time, used it, but got forgotten about. Whilst searching for a lost die I came across it and was inspired to make this card.

Easy to make, just die cut and emboss the individual parts of the fan, glue together, overlapping slightly to make your fan shape.  I added a tad of distress ink to the edges of each part of the fan.

Next was to glue the pretty roses into the centre of each fan part, add your pretty die cut leaves. I have put some dried gypsophila among the roses.

Shabby Chic card, using an Anna Griffin embossing folder.

Good morning, today I have a Shabby Chic card to show you that I have used the beautiful Anna Griffin large embossing folder, in a slightly different way....I cut it up !

I embossed my cardstock and decided that I wanted half my card with a pink dotty background, which I did, but needed a touch of oomph on the bottom part, so I decided which was the best part to keep of my Anna Griffin card, and which part left over to use on the inside of the card.  I think it looks quite different. I used silicone glue to raise it up.  The lovely maidenhair fern leaf die is from Sue Wilson.

I added some white organza ribbon underneath the flowers with a very sparkly gem in the middle

Here's a side view of the card.

This is a view of the inside of the card where I have used the remainder of the Anna Griffin embossed card, cut up and raised then placed around the centre message frame.

Different, but quite effective  !!

Thank you for taking a peek at my card, until next time, take care,xx

A Pretty Magnolia Card.

I love being me, I love my age, everything, but just every now and again, something happens and you have a little touch of nostalgia, well today is one of those days.  I have just been to collect my granddaughters prom dress. It is to die for.......stunning  !!  Black and gold, I adore it !  Will it fit me.....no !  Oh to be 17 years old and a lovely size 10 . She is half Spanish and is a beautiful girl, so will look amazing.  Ah....must go on a diet ( probably not  ! )

So today I have a Magnolia card to show you.  I have not done a Magnolia card for such a long time as there have been so many lovely stamps out there from different stamp companies, and have had to use them, plus of course my Shabby Chic cards.

I have used Maja Design card for the back ground and the lovely butterfly is from La La Land

The pretty filigree bow is from Sue Wilson dies and I have popped a white rose in the middle.
Tilda has been coloured using Copic pens,. I keep looking at the talented crafters that use distress inks, so whilst I have used them I am not so confident, must try harder !

The dog daisy I have had for some time, but the leaves, maidenhair fern is a new die that I have bought, again a Sue Wilson die. I didn't have the correct green that I wanted, so die cut in white and sprayed with green, left to dry and then added to my card.

A small decorated  stick pin behind the flower to finish off.

A Baby Boy Card.

Hello to the lovely sunshine that we have today. My tortoise is just loving it. He has been so confused with the weather going from hot to cold, so I have had to keep putting him in the greenhouse, to make sure he keeps warm.  He has the run of the garden and loves to follow me around. The magpies are quite a bit of trouble as they watch him with the hope of flipping him over onto his back and making a tasty meal out of him. But my tortoise is too smart for them !

Well today I have a pretty baby boy card to show you, one that was made in a bit of a hurry, as I was in hospital a fair bit, and mum to be decided not to know the sex of the due baby. ( lovely surprise ! ) Yes I could have made two, but as we all know, hospital appointments can take up pretty much of your day, so I was a tad lax.

Soooo, I used the beautiful ready done LOTV Art Pad, perfect as there is such a lot of choice and so very pretty. Suitable for boys and girls.

It's just perfect ! I added a few white opal liquid pearls around the bunny for a little bit more interest.

The lovely doily around the frame was a Tattered Lace freebie with their magazine. The blue rose paper is from the lovely Maja Design range.

I used white card to die cut the dog roses, sprayed with pale blue pearl paint to get the right pale blue colour that I wanted, dabbed them onto kitchen roll to take off any excess paint.  I popped a pretty rose in the middle to add the finishing touch.

Here' a peek at the card from a side view, you an just see where I have written my message to the new and very proud parents,
Thank you for stopping by, so sweet of you to take a peek of my cards, always appreciated. Until next time, hugs xxx

A La La Land Card

Good evening to everyone, where has the day gone ?  I was up bright and early today, with the wishful thinking that I could get such a lot done today......no such luck !  Although it still was a lovely day, just things didn't turn out as expected  !   So here I am showing off this pretty La La Land card that I did a week or so ago.  I really loved colouring in Marci using Copics and Prisma pencils,

Don't you just love the bumble bees, they are also from La La Land dies, as well as the pretty bunting.

I am so in love with  La La Land at the moment, the butterfly is also from them.

I used a Magnolia Doohickey Daisy die for the flower and layered up with some Tattered Lace Filigree flowers. The pretty spray leaves are a die that I have had for a long time, again a Doohickey one, it get's used over and over, a good buy !

Here's the inside of the card, with a bumble bee just to add that little bit of interest

Hope you like my card, I so enjoyed doing it, until next time, hugs !  xx

Lovely rose Shabby Chic style card.

Good morning on this very mixed weather day, will the sun shine  ?  will it rain ? not sure, anyway after I have done this posting I am off out for the day, not sure where, but hopefully there will be some lovely shops.  I am lucky to live not too far from a number of lovely cities, so have a superb choice !   So fellow crafters here is my pretty rose card to show you.

I used a number of different dies for this card, some that I have had for such a long time. Had a sort out and put them all into labelled boxes....small leaves....flourishes...etc., So hence finding this pretty Magnolia Doohickey half doily.  The roses have been made from white coffee filter papers, misted with a touch of pink spray then dried. I used just a tad of white paste across the petals to give the Shabby Chic look.

Here's a closer peep at the roses, pretty aren't they ?

The butterfly is a new addition to my dies, it is from La La Land, and I just love it !
I die cut out two and glued them together down the spine ( is that what they call it  ?  ) and added a few flat backed pearls.

Here is a photograph of the inside of the card. I really like the pretty hearts, they are from , I think, Memory Box dies. There are two in the set and come in very useful to add just that little bit of something else .
