A Birthday card for my lovely friend

My lovely friend Linda has a birthday coming up very soon, and although we don't see each other very much we are always in touch.  The last time I went to visit Linda took me to a very pretty tea room, so I guess this card is quite appropriate.  The stamp is from Lili of the Valley, and the two cute girls ( could it be myself and Linda, perhaps a good few years ago..!  .sorry Linda  ! )   I have coloured the two cuties with Copics and a touch here and there of Prisma pencils.  Check out the tea pot pin that I made,  just love it !

Here's a closer peep at the pretty pin and the cute little girls.
The large rose is hand made with a pearl bead popped in the middle,  whilst the other flower is a  rolled rose and a rolled daisy.  The die cut leaves are from Marianne, my very favourite leaf which I use all the time. I was gutted when I lost this die, immediately bought another one, to fine the die caught between some card stock a few weeks later, so now I have two sets.

The Giggle tag is from Tim Holtz, that I screwed up a little and added a touch of white Gesso.
The card stock is from Lili of the Valley, one of their packs, love the rose designs, incy wincy ones and the larger co-ordinations.  The frame behind the little girls is Spellbinders. Their Nestabilities invaluable, use them all the time, great value and worth investing in.

The butterfly border is again Tim Holtz, love his dies, I die cut a couple of butterflies from Joy Craft and stuck them over the top with some pearls down their spines .
Thank you for taking a peep at Linda's card, can't show you the inside as I
 have written on it !
Have a wonderful Sunday, see you soon,  xxx

A Sherri Baldy card, my big eye besties,  so cute  !!

I hav,nt done a Sherry Baldy card for what seems ages, this was one that I coloured in whilst I was away on holiday last year, and put it in my  ' done stash '  and promptly forgot about it.   So there I was looking through all my ready coloured bits and bobs, oooohh forgot about this  !  and was inspired to make a card. This is the end result so hope that you like it.

I decided to do the card in pretty colours of pinks, lilac and blues.
The large flower is hand made using white mulberry paper, tinted and sprayed, scrunched up, dried and a different colour popped in the middle.  the other flowers are rolled roses, all having a touch of white paste.  Put in a hand decorated stick pin to compliment....just love doing those at the moment.

I used again my favourite colouring pens, Copics  ! and a touch of white gel pen here and there.

Here is a closer peep at the flower, I think it.s very pretty.

A sideways peep . Thank you so much for stopping by, have a lovely day  xxx

A Lovely Lilac Pocket and Tag Card.

Hello and welcome to all the lovely crafting friends that have so kindly visited my blog. Today I have a really pretty pocket style card to show you in beautiful shades of lilac.

The ribbon is in silk and a stunning shade of lilac.  I added a little white slim lace and threaded it through a white pearl slider, well I think that's what they call them !

Here's a view of the pocket card and the tag that goes inside. I used Maja Design paper for the card that has pretty pansies all over it. The lilac border edge is a Doohickey die, Lovely Lace,  that has a touch of Gesso on the edges. I did the inside tag to match using the same Maja Design card and a So Wrapped Lovely to pull the tag out of the pocket card.

I didn't have the right colour for the roses, so I used white ones and painted them with two or three different shades of Copic pens, just touched here and there, then dripped a little clear Copic refill on them to make the colour run into each other, I think it looks quite effective. The large flower is hand made from Mulberry paper, the rose leaves are a Doohickey die, they were edged in a darker green, embossed and scrunched up a tad to give a little definition.

Hope that you like my card with a difference, to everyone, have a super Sunday, until next time take care and enjoy the day, best wishes to all xx

A Celebration card for friends .

I  really enjoyed making this card for two very special friends especially when I had chance to use the two cute teddies in the boat.  The lovely couple that I know own a narrow boat and I guess this was the nearest I could get to sailing on the water  !  Just love LOTV stamps, any excuse to use them.

So here's what I did...... The pretty white arch at the top was done by layering Spellbinder borders under each other, snucked up tight, no spaces, held in place with tape and die cut. I used 250 gsm card so that it would be nice and sturdy.  The filigree bow is by Sue Wilson dies, use it loads as it so very pretty, and popped a little rose in the middle.

Again I have used my favourite colouring pens...Copics. !  I know that there are stars in the sky, but didn't want to make the picture too dark, so made it early evening, stars still out !  but I guess you could call it artistic licence.

I have put some white pearl Stickles around the teddy bear frame

Here's a closer peep at the hand made flower that I made using Mulberry paper, sprayed with a touch of pink, scrunched up then dried and teased out. A little glitter as well.

Here is a peep of the card from the side view. I have used my own stash of card plus LOTV paper

This is the inside of the card, decorated to match the front.

Thank you for stopping by, hope that you have a wonderful day, my best wished to all , until next time,  hugs xxx
