28th February, 2015 A Pretty Heart Tag.

Good Afternoon to everyone, hope you are all having a lovely weekend.  February is almost over and Spring is most definitely in the air.  My tortoise has woken up  !  He was making scratting sounds with his little legs and making his presence known.  He is now in my kitchen, laid on a blanket to gradually thaw out a lot more. As soon as he has a drink of water, which will not be for a good few days, then we will know that he's fine. He will be allowed to have the run of the kitchen until the weather is really nice then he will be moved to his little house in the garden. What a spoilt tortoise  !

Here at last is my pretty tag style card, a heart one, done in pinks and brown.

The die that I used was from the Cheery Lyn dies. The cardstock was a tad too thin so I die cut the white base out twice and layered.

The second heart, done in light brown is also from the same die set by Cheery Lynn.

I added some white seam binding ribbon to the top of the heart, tied in with some white lace style knitting wool  ! not wool like at all, more material in feel, made by Sirdar , called Fire Fox.  It is from a cardigan I was making many years ago, never completed, still in the drawer, and about five balls of ' wool ' never used, so I have out it to good use in my card making. I think it is quite pretty and a tad different. A large white pearl popped in the middle.

The butterfly has been die cut twice, layered,  embossed and glittered and a few white flat backed pearls down the centre.

19th February, 2015 A Wild Rose Studio Card

Hello and good morning, here I am up all bright and early and feeling very well.  I returned from hospital yesterday having an operation and it is so good to be back home. What a gem we have in our National Health Hospitals. I was looked after so good that I have nothing else but praise for all the staff.

Anyway, enough of all that, here is my latest card that I would like to show you, which of course was finished before my op.  It is a new stamp that I recently bought by Wild Rose Studios, and have been itching to use it.  So here is what I did.....

The paper bow is a Magnolia Doohicky die, Bridal Bow, with a little paper rose popped into the middle and the doily behind it, done in white is a half doily from the Tattered lace collection of dies. I like to use this one quite a lot as it is so very delicate.

The flower was made from white coffee filter papers, a Magnolia Doohickey Doily flower die, sprayed with a touch of very pale pink, scrunched up, dried with my heat gun, teased out and the layers put together, again a little rose popped into the centre.

The butterfly is a metal one, bought from goodness knows where, which  I added embossing powder to and a large flat backed white pearl in the middle. The lace is from my stash, which would have been bought from my local market. We have an amazing haberdashery stall in Doncaster open market, you name it...we can get it....  Of course the stamp was coloured using my very favourite pens...Copics  !

This is a side view of the card  with a peek of the inside which I did in the same matching card stock, lots of space to write your message and the Tattered Lace die under the message space to add just that little bit more interest..   Hope that you like this card, thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful day, xx

10th February, 2015, A Lili of the Valley Cards, Bunnies in the Bath.

Hello to all the card crafting people, hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Well, here was me being quite smug, doing large photographs....now they keep disappearing !
I have finally learnt how to do a space between the photographs, using a jump break ! wondered what they were for, but as said before, if you are not a typist or work with computers, it's a strange thing to grasp or understand the terminology, but I'm  getting there !

So here is my small photo of the very lovely Bunnies in the Bath from Lili of the Valley Stamps.
I used this stamp for a New Home card, so there they are celebrating with a glass of bubbly after a hard day moving furniture with a lovely hot bath !

I meant to put a touch of Stickles silver glitter coming out of the champagne glasses for the bubbles, but forgot !
I just used card stock that was in my stash, and  kept the card quite clean and simple

Here's a photo of the side view of the card

The flower was made using a Spellbinder flower die from pink dyed mulberry paper, then I added a Tattered Lace Daisy die in white over the top. I little bit of ivory dried gypsophila and a few more little roses to finish with.

I love my white paste, so could not resist some around the edges of the card.  No matter how I have tried different ways to add the paste, I still use Peter Pointer  !  Those with grand children will know exactly what I mean  !

Here's the inside of the card.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my cards, have a lovely day, take care xx

8th February, 2015 A Sarah Kay card

Good Morning,  It's Sunday again......where has the week gone ?
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my Sarah Kay card. Isn't she pretty ?

I coloured her using my favourite Copic pens and added a touch of  Frantage to the back ground.

The flower I made using Maja Design paper and popped a little rose in the centre, just love those lace like leaves. It's a Marianne die that I have had for ages and use it all the time, in fact I have two as I thought I had accidently  thrown it away, searched every where to no avail , purchased another only to find the original some days later  !

This is a view of the card from the standing up position with just a peep of the inside.

I decorated the inside to match the front, the pretty banner of hearts is a die from \La La Land. a touch of white paste and done  !!

Hope that you like my card, thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day
