23rd December 2015 A Saturated Canary Card

Hi everyone , today my card is one made from Saturated Canary Download  Not my most friendly type of image as not being computer literate I struggle, they disappear into cyber space. This one has been missing for ages !  Bought a new lap top.....oh dear !  Anyway, along with some others they have been found !  So enjoyed doing this card. The pretty paper lace border is a Joanna Sheen die and I am loving the pretty little leaf sprays. Saw them on a card, tracked them down they are by Cheery Lynn.  I made the flowers from a Heartfelt creation die, used a pale turquoise spray.
Below is a photo of the inside of the card, I used cardstock from Lemoncraft for this card.

A Birthday Card

Hi everyone. Today I am showing you a pretty card that I have made using the very lovely Heartfelt Creations flower dies. This one is the Arianna Blooms. I die cut them, used a pink stain , and popped a sparkly jewel in the middle of each one.
The card stock that I have used is Maja Design and have layered using a Spellbinder die, Radiant Rectangles.
The leaves are a Sue Wilson die, and the larger green rose leaves is a Doohickey  die, one of my favourites, used time and time again.

I am hoping that this photograph will come out ok, as I think there are gremlins in my computer at the moment, my preview shows the photo, them on my blog......disappears ...strange !
Thank you for stopping by, take care, happy crafting xxx

7th December 2015 A Pretty Pink Magnolia card

Hello everyone, today I am showing you a pretty magnolia Card that I did a couple of weeks ago, so enjoyed making this card.  Tilda was coloured  with Copics, always my favourite. Have tried other techniques but always fall back to my tried and tested colouring pens.

The flower is a Doohickey die, Doily flower, sprayed with a touch of pink and a little brown distressing on the edges of the petals, a white rose popped in the middle.  Just love this ribbon, silver, lacy and sparkly

A Baby Girl Card

Hello everyone on this very rainy dull November day !  Perfect for crafting though. I have sat in my front room, T.V.  on watching all the mid day television whilst doing a little colouring. I have so enjoyed it.  So here is my latest card, especially for a baby girl.  I started off with a full scalloped circle in pink, found the exact centre, scored and folded in half.  Added the front part, another round die cut out and used Pion design baby paper, which is so very pretty. ( They do one in blue also ). Added a white embossed doily and some oh so gorgeous white and silver mesh ribbon. with a pretty pink heart in the middle.
Across the fold line I put some pink edged die cut Doohickey peony flowers, a little pink butterfly another half of the die cut white doily other bits and bobs of pretties....done  !

A Pretty Magnolia Card.

At last I have got around to doing a Magnolia Tilda card. It really does seems ages since I had a look at my stamps, must do some more as I so enjoyed making this card.  As usual I used my Copics for colouring Tilda.  I have tried pencils and distress inks but seem to get on better with alcohol pens.

The large flowers were both hand made, sprayed pink and scrunched up, dried and layered together. The little roses look very pretty, a good pink match.  I edged the frame around Tilda with a Joy Craft frame peeping out on just one side  The fence was a Magnolia Doohickey die, and the little butterflies were a Joanna Sheen die.  I popped a white pearl heart in the middle of the butterflies

This is a closer look at the flower and the Joy Craft frame.  The lattice hearts across the top are from Noor Design ( I think  !  )
Hope you like my card, thank you for stopping by and taking a peep, always appreciated  xx

A Lili of the Valley Wedding Card

Hello and Good Morning to all the lovely crafting community . I trust that you have all done your Christmas cards and all ready to go off to friends and family. No such luck in my household, just never seem to have the time, shame on me.....I always end up buying them.

So , having made numerous Christmas cards for others I feel it's time to do something different. I really enjoyed making this pretty Wedding Card using a loved Lili of the Valley stamp.

I coloured the happy couple with my favourite Copics. Used a Magnolia Doohickey doily flower with a very sparkly gem in the middle.  Always love these gems, would like to keep them forever, but every now and them decide to use one.

The bottom of the card has a stunning strip of die cut lace, a Joanna Sheen die. She does lots of different types, but this was my favourite. Just know that this die is going to get used a lot.

Here's the stunning pretty sparkly gem, would make great ear rings !

I always like to show the inside of the card, as it's nice to see what your going to write your message on. So used the same card stock, from Lili of the Valley, very pretty pale blue. And on this photo you get a clearer picture of the lovely lace border.

A Lovely Weekend Away with Friends

I have just returned from a really restful weekend away with friends. I went to Robin Hoods Bay in North Yorkshire. Very quaint, pretty cottages nestling into the hill side and the cliffs with spectacular views of the sea. There was a pretty beach, but was too cold to do any paddling. So have returned fresh and full of imagination for my next projects.

This one was done using a craft c.d. which is not my normal style of crafting.  I down loaded the image, already coloured in but added some ' snow ' to the picture.  the picture is the work of the amazing Nikky Hall.

I added a wooden corner flourish, embossed with a touch of white, some gold scribble die cuts with a snowflake in their middles and a matching hand made turquoise glittery gem. Some Tattered Lace half doilies in matching cardstock and a row across the bottom of white gathered lace.

 Here's a closer peep at Nikki's lovely drawing, lovely isn't she ?

These are the Scribble die cuts in gold, very different , but not too sure if I will get a lot of use out of them......time will tell !!

A White on White Wedding Card, with just a touch of pink !.

Well today is my 47th Wedding Anniversary, so this card is quite appropriate. Also one of my lovely daughters birthday.  I just love these die cut leaves, so very elegant.  I bought this die only a few weeks ago and have used it no end of times.

The flowers were made from white card that I sprayed with a touch of very pale pink, screwed them up and teased out whilst still damp.  Popped a white pearl bead in the middle, very pretty.  The leaves add the finishing touch.  The lace across the bottom was bought in Portugal some years ago, found in my stash as I was having a tidy up.  Amazing what you find that has been forgotten.

Here's a closer peep at the flower and the lovely die cut leaves, forgot to mention it is a Sue Wilson die.  The flower is a Spellbinder die, daisy type, very useful , as can be layered and layered to get the effect that you want.

A Hannah Lynn Card

Hello and good morning. Today I am showing you a card that I made using a Hannah Lynn stamp. I have a number of these in my stash, but for some reason they get overlooked, and they are so pretty !
Who would just love pink hair ! Well this beautiful lady has now got it !  Pretty Cool !

Of course I coloured her using my favourite Copics, used a white gel pen to add the few white highlights in her hair.  The flower is hand made, a few daisy die cuts, sprayed and scrunched, left to dry and then layered.  I bought two new dies from La La land , Cherry Blossom and the half doily, so just had to use them. These dies cut like a dream , love using them.

Here's a closer peep at the flower with a sparkly gem in the middle.

At Last I have done a pretty Magnolia Tilda Card  !!

I so enjoyed making this card, using lots of pretty pinks, oh so girly....!  I used the Magnolia Doohickey Peony dies for the flowers and popped a pretty white pearl heart in the middles. The gorgeous butterfly is from La La Land dies and the doily in the background, edged with a touch of pink is from Marianne dies, part of the Anja Series. Get's used quite a lot.

Here's a closer peep at the pretty peony flowers. I have added two rolled roses with a pearl bead in the middle.  The leaves are a new addition , a Sue Wilson die, I think it's called quilled leaves.

I always try to show a peep at the inside of the card, so here it is, using the lovely doily die to write your message on.

Thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful day, xx

Back to my lovely Shabby Chic again and roses

What a beautiful day it has been today, lots and lots of sunshine and comfortably warm. Today is a very special day for the ladies of Doncaster. Today is Ladies Day at the very famous St Leger races, the oldest flat race in the world.  The ladies always get very dressed up for this event and a hat is an absolute must.  I live near the racecourse so get to see quite a few passing by. I usually go, but not this year......baby sitting !  Ah well ,I will be there next year hopefully. Always have a bet, never know what I am betting on, but the name of the horse sounds good.

So today is a pretty romantic style, Shabby Chic with roses.  I used the always lovely Spellbinder dies to use on this card, Fleur de Elegance. My background card that you can just see peeping through is from Lemoncraft, another of my favourites !

I wanted quite a pale pink for the roses, so used white ones and misted just a little bit with a pink spray on some and a very light green and pink on the others. Was really pleased with the result.
I distress the edges of the rose leaves and scrunched them up a bit to give a little more natural look.

My lovely dried ivory gypsophila adds to the finishing touch.....romantic !

A Laser Cut Card, The lovely spares from my daughters wedding.

Some years ago, when my daughter got married, like all us crafters I made all her stationary for the big day.  I bought quite a few different samples, which were put away in safe place ( like we all do !)
And from that day they were lost !  So having a clear out of a very top cupboard ( have to stand on steps to get into it ) I found a pretty box and these were inside.  Immediately my crafting head went into gear, and this is what I have come up with.

The laser cut part was already there , so just needed to do the insert.  I chose very pale turquoise backing paper, Lemoncraft, and die cut the corner flowers from the scrapbook sheet with a pretty heart die

I used a Doohickey die for the little flowers, edged a tad with a gold pen, popped a pearl in the middle....lovely !  Not too much to over power the beautiful laser cut sides.

Here's a closer look a the die cut heart with the flowers.  The white leaves have been die cut with my all time favourite die from Marianne.

This is the card part closed, so pretty, so pleased I found them !

A White on White card, always elegant  !

Another white on white card, always love to do one of these. there is just something about them that I think is so classic.  I used a beautiful Cheery Lynn die for the hearts, there are at least 4 hearts in the set, various sizes, so always useful.  I embossed the back ground cardstock , did a dotty one. I then layered the hearts.  I wasn't sure if I should do roses, but decided for a change to do daisies.  Again, die cut and layered. I painted all the petals with opal dust , you can just see a touch of sparkle.
I could not resist popping a little white rose in the middle.

Here is a closer look at the pretty sparkly daisies.

I added some white organza ribbon.

Hope you like my white on White card. Thank you for stopping by, take care xx

I,ve been making butterfies  !

Every now and then my imagination starts to run a bit crazy, and I want to have a go at doing something a little bit different, so when I was rummaging through my material box I found lots of lace material and net.  I thought perhaps my butterfly dies may go through the materials and they did !  I chose different types of mymaterials, layered them , glued down the middle. Next was what to put down the middle.  Love making stick pins, have loads of beads so stick pins it was.  Pretty pleased how they came out.  Put them on eBay.....sold !

So if I can die cut butterflies, then my flower dies should do the same !
Die cut lilac net, die cut mulberry paper flowers, sprayed and scrunched, dried, put the whole lot together. Must have a touch of glitter !  Job done !

A Magnolia Tilda Cascading Card.

Hi everyone !  Today I am showing you a card that I have made using the larger of the two templates. It is a great way of saving time using a template, as also I am non too good at measuring and getting everything perfectly lined up.  Oh how this takes out all the hard work !  just love it !  thank you Paula at Which Craft, Doncaster.

I used white spotty organza ribbon with a pretty pearl embellishment, and down each side I die cut a Doohickey border, think it's called Lovely Lace. Had it a long time but you are still able to get it.

The pretty little flowers are a set of three dies from La-La-Land. I die cut them out using white card, coloured them gently with pink Copic pens and added a few little black dots along the petals.

Tilda has been coloured using Copic pens and Prisma pencils.

Here's a side ways view of the card

A Baby Boy Card

Oh I am so into babies at the moment, my youngest granddaughter, only 4 months old is just beginning to take real notice of what's going on.....oodles of smiles, melts your heart  !
So here is a baby boy card, which I just loved making. Adored the fresh blue colours.
I used blue cardstock from my stash. The little flowers are a Doohickey die, distressed the edges a tad and popped a white pearl in the middle of each one.  The stamped image is from the wonderful Lili of the Valley range ( sooo lucky live not too far away from their amazing shop ! )   The bow is a Sue Wilson filigree die.  The larger flowers are also Doohickey dies, their peony flower, which I did the same as the smaller ones.

The intricate doily die was a freebie from Tattered Lace Magazine. I use this die quite a lot, so real good freebie !
I added white rose lace across the bottom, each rose has a white pearl bead in the middle.

A side ways view of the card and also the inside.

A flower cascading card

Oh my !! August here already, just one more month and heading into Autumn.  We have a saying here in South Yorkshire, home of the very famous Leger race, " the last horse of the race comes home with snow on it's tail !  "  Often very true, not snow, but a certain change in the weather.

So here is my lilac cascading card, oh I so enjoyed making this card, as lilac and purple are one of my favourite colours, adore African Violet .  I made the card and used Maja design papers, always excellent quality.  I stamped out the flowers from a Heartfelt Creations stamp, some big, some smaller, misted them and a tad of distress ink and cut them out, squashed them up a bit, layered them and added lots of little purple beads in their middles.

I die cut lots and lots of white leaves , Marianne die, added dried ivory gypsophila among the leaves.

Had just bought some more white pearls strips so came in very useful to put down all the sides.
Here's a closer peep at the centre of the flowers.

Shabby Chic with roses.

Hi !  I'm back.....had a lovely restful time. Caught up on some stamping and colouring for future cards.  This is a card that I did before I went away. Did this one go to Denmark ? Not sure, oh my , times passes by so quickly.

I used a lovely Spellbinders floral corner die, cut it out twice to give it a bit more oomph , distressed it and added some gold gilding wax and a touch of gold pen around the edges.  The roses were hand made using white coffee filter papers, misted with pink and white paste added to the edges of their petals and a tad touch of glitter.  The background paper that I used was from Lemoncraft ( love their designs )  Please take a peek at their design papers you will soooo love them !

Shabby Chic again  !!!!

Hi everyone, thank you for stopping by, so it's Shabby Chic again, just love this style of card. Love lace, love pearls, yes I'm a real girly girl.  Would love to have my bedroom all white, lace and flowers, keep sneaking a bit in hoping hubby wont notice !!

This card was done after I found the white paper threaded stuff....hmm ! what can I do with that, so here is the result.  I used bought flowers as I often make most of my own. I purchase a lot from China, Singapore and Thailand. Postage can sometimes take a while, but to be honest I have never experienced any problems, so if you are unsure, they are so much cheaper and lovely flowers.

I used a new Spellbinder die from the Blooming Collection, No 4, very useful as you would be able to slot ribbon through the open side bits if wanted. Again lovely ivory dried gypsophila , always looks good on Shabby Chic cards to give that romantic look.  The other die used is Madera Corner by Memory Box, another favourite, I added a few flat backed pearls to the ends of the spray leaves.

White Organza ribbon tied in a double bow and secured by using my hot glue gun. Not very good with a glue gun, so I  use it very sparingly !

Here is a side view of the card.

This is a closer look at the pretty roses with the gypsophila.

I always try to show the inside of my cards as it is just as important for it to look pretty when you write your message. The circle die is part of the Spellbinder Blooming collection No 4

A Filigree Card.

Hello everyone, today I have a filigree card to show you , which to be honest I did struggle with.  I looked at quite a few different ways of doing this card on You Tube, but found the way of folding the card down at the top about half an inch too difficult.  No matter how I tried the card stock was too thick to cut through with the die.  It would cut one part ok, but not the middle.  So I found one way of doing it by using Spellbinders Labels 8.  You use the Labels 8 as the card, then add the filigree die cut part onto the top.....taa dahh !  There are other ways I'm sure so need to do a bit more research.

So I used Spellbinders Labels 8 for the card, a Spellbinders Nestabilities for the filigree part then a Sue Wilson die, Caribbean Island die for the centre of the card.  I made the large pink flower using white coffee filter papers an popped a ditsy rose in the middle.

Here's a closer peep at the flowers and the die cuts that I used.  I added the word LOVE in silver.

This is the inside of the card, where you can perhaps work out how I used the Labels 8 die

Thank you for stopping by, until my next posting, take care xx
