LOTV Card

Teddy at the window box

Hello everyone. Today I am showing you a LOTV card that I did a couple of week s ago.  I had been trying to get hold of this particular stamp for some time, I was even unable to get it from the LOTV shop in Farsley, near Leeds, so was thrilled to bits that I managed to purchase it on an on-line shopping channel.

Although I have quite a lot of distress inks and see such a lot of work using them, I have never really tried them. I am so used to using Copic pens, so I thought I would try using them for a change.

This is the result, so was quite pleased.

I found some pretty pale turquoise spotty card stock in my stash and mixed it with some light grey. The pretty border at the top is quite new one from Marianne Anja dies, I just added a few extra flowers to make it stand out a little more.

The bow is a Doohickey die, Bridal Bow and my very favourite doily flower die, again Doohickey die.

I decided to put  a little pink embossing powder on the flowers and popped a tiny pink rose in the middle.

I did the inside of the card to complement the front, and put the Anja die along the bottom with an edging of pretty pink lace, and again added a few more flowers.  I was quite pleased with the finished look.

I hope that you like my card, thank you so much for taking a peek , have a lovely day.

A Magnolia Tilda Step Card.

Hello again, welcome to my blog.  Today I am  showing you a pretty step card that I made a few weeks ago.  The step card pack was bought from my local craft shop, who does some really lovely pre-made card packs should you want to try something a little different.  The shop is called Which Craft, in Doncaster.

Paula, the owner has just very recently been showing her wares on that well known craft site on T.V. She is a very talented lady. She actually was one of the team that was asked and worked on decorating Princess Diana's wedding cake, but she never mentions it,  so I have done it for her !

So here is my Magnolia step card....

.

I  used Copic pens to colour  Tilda, cut her out and mounted her onto some pretty floral cardstock.

The flowers were hand made, this time I used white coffee filter papers that I dyed with a little pale pink distress ink.  I added a sparkly center to both the flowers.

I used quite a few Magnolia Doohickey doily die cut flowers on this card, and had them peeking out behind Tilda to act as a border. And of course a pretty pink rose in each center.

I think the effect looks quite nice and a a little different.

I hope you like my Magnolia step card, thank you so much for stopping by.Have a lovely crafting day !

Shabby Chic Rose Stick Pins

Hi Everyone, and welcome.

This is my latest addiction  !!

Instead of putting pretty beads or crystal  I wondered if there was a way that I could put some pretty  flowers on the top of the pin.  It was a little bit fiddly , but once I had got the wire of the flower down the pin and secure with glue,  I could then add all the other pretties.

Not too bad for a first attempt ! All the beads I have had in my stash for a number of years and I quite enjoyed sorting them all out. I bought two inexpensive dividing plastic containers.
I wonder if this will lead me onto jewelry  making...... !

Bye for now, enjoy your day .
