30 th June 2014, A Sarah Kay card, my sweet Lilli

Hi  Everyone,

It has been a beautiful day, so today we had tea in the garden.  All the flowers are coming out, the roses  are   blooming.  Lets hope that there are many  more days like this one. It was lovely to see the grandchildren are playing in the garden.

Today  I have a pretty card to show to you that is from the Stampavie Sarah Kay rubber stamps. She is called My Sweet Lili .  I have seen this stamp a number of times, so eventually tracked one down and I just adore her.  I  feel sure that she will get a lot of use as she could be used for so many different  occasions.

.

The butterfly border is by Tim Holtz, which I put through an old  machine that the children played with many years ago, it makes paper go all wriggly !.  I distressed the edges with distress inks and used a Joy Craft butterfly  on top to add a little bit of dimension.

The die cut flowers are Dog Daises by Spellbinders and I have put a Mother of Pearl button in the centre of each flower, along with the pretty die cut  leaves..

I have added a Magnolia Doohickey  ' So Wrapped Lovely ' to the top of the card with white vintage seam binding and some lace like ribbon, which is actually fancy knitting thread !

Of course I have added a little white Gesso, here and there, and some white heavy embossing powder around Lili.  The card stock is Maja Design

Monday, 23rd June 2014, A Hanglar Card.

Good morning everyone  !

Today I am up bright and early, the sun is shining so I thought I may as well get up and make the most of the day.   I hope that it was a pleasant  weekend for you all.  I  did some gardening until it became too hot, then pretty much lazed around and enjoyed the day.

Today I have a pretty Hanglar card to show you, hope you like it....

The card stock that I have used is from the Tilda range, lovely quality and they co-ordinate with each other so well.   The large roses I have made myself, using Spellbinders Blossom dies, in two different sizes.  I always use plain white  pearl paper as it seems to colour really well to the shades that  I wish to match up to.

The other flowers are what I had in my stash.

I decorated around the edges of the card with silver Stickles to add a little oomph !   The butterflies have a touch of  silver glass glitter on their wings and a few flat backed pearls.

Thank you for taking a peek at my card, I hope you like it.

Saturday 21st June 2014, A Lovely Vintage Style, Shabby Chic Card.

Hi  ! to everyone,  thank you for taking a peek at my cards.. Today I have done a Shabby Chic style card , it just dawned on me that one of my relatives has a birthday next week, so whilst I was alone for the day, as hubby gone off to a Folk Festival, time to get  it done for her.

The card is a pre-cut and scored card which I had in my stash that I bought from a local craft shop in Doncaster.  This lady , Paula has some real interesting  styles of pre-cut cards, so go along and take a peek at www.whichcraftuk.co.uk  to see some of her delightful cards.

The lovely vintage lady is from Pion Designs , another one of my favourites.   I have made the roses from white pearl paper and distressed the edges with pink.  The white dried gypspohilia adds to the ' shabby chic ' style. .

The white lace style ribbon is not really ribbon at all, it is meant to be knitted with.  Much too pretty to knit with, so I have adapted it to my card making. !

The dragonflies are die cut using a Magnolia Doohickey die and I have added a few flat backed pearls and  diamontes.  Ranger White Opal Liquid Pearl has been added around the frame of the pretty vintage lady..

I hope that you like this card as much as I enjoyed making it, thank you for taking a peek !!

16th June, 2014,

Hi  Everyone,  So sorry for not posting any cards, but, being new to all this I had a little problem, which turned out to be only a little 'click'  that I wasn't clicking on ......

The card that I would like to show that I have made is from a stamp by the very talented Ching-Chou-Kuik, from her Fantasy Art Collection.  I think she is called ' Spring Luna '  and can be purchased from Sweet Pea Rubber Stamps.

She is so exotic, that you could let your imagination run riot and colour her in with the most vivid colours, or go pastel.  I have chosen pinks, lilac and grey .....

I have coloured her using Copic Pens, my favourite form of colouring.

I have embellished the card with lovely Tim Holtz Butterfly Border, pretty flowers and my very favourite filler, dried white gypsphilia.

Here is a closer look at 'Spring Luna '  I have gone around the edge with Rangers Liquid Opal  Pearl Drops.

The flowers have been distressed with white Gesso.
